What you'll do

Interns will develop analytical techniques for rapid scientific literature reviews, identification of potential therapeutic targets, and scientific / commercial prioritisation of disease indications. Interns will be expected to prepare written materials to support their analyses and present their findings.

The Set Up

This part time position requires approximately 10 hours of work per week for three months, with the possibility of extension for exceptional performers. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in biotech company building and drug discovery. We offer a fully flexible culture where you can work when you want and where you want - we just care about the output.

Essential qualifications

  1. Current graduate student (PhD, MD, MS), postdoctoral researcher, clinical trainee / resident, or an outstanding final year undergraduate student in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, medicine, computer science, or related field at a top institution. Prior research experience is preferred.

  2. Strong curiosity and ability to navigate biomedical fields, including gene therapy and molecular and cell biology. Basic understanding of the drug discovery process is helpful but not required.

  3. Excellent communication and writing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  4. Independent and Proactive: resourceful and able to function at a high level with intermittent supervision.

Desirable
qualifications

  1. Experience with algorithm development and statistical analysis.

  2. Proficiency in data mining using tools like the GPT-4 API and familiarity with Python and R.
